My Background

I did my medical training through the University of Cape Town (UCT). I worked as a GP and a bush doctor in the Sabi Sands Reserve for a short time period before specializing in Psychiatry at Valkenberg, Lentegeur and Groote Schuur Hospitals. My specialist training Child and Adolescent Psychiatry was done at Red Cross Children’s War Memorial Hospital in Cape Town.

I subsequently worked both in the State System as well as in private practice. This included managing the in-patient unit for children with Psychiatric Disorders and developing services for and treating adolescents with similar needs. I have been working with Children and Adolescents since 2011.
